Hydro Sciences UQAM is a research-led scientific team of 7 PhD students, 1 research agent and two professors. They all work together to:

  1. Improve knowledge of the water cycle, whether natural or modified by man (urban environments, exploited watersheds, etc.).
  2. Facilitate resource protection and develop decision-making tools for managers (cities, MRCs, OBVs…)
  3. Support the adaptation of the water cycle so that future generations can benefit from this essential resource

Hydro Sciences UQAM is involved in a number of projects in close partnership with municipalities and local stakeholders to address the major concerns of our societies. The entire team designs the most innovative methods based on physical, geochemical and isotopic approaches. Our strength lies in the training of students specializing in the many fields of hydrogeology, in raising the awareness of stakeholders and populations, and in accompanying all populations in the adventure of adapting our environment to forcings of all kinds.
