Sampling protocol
We kindly ask you to follow the following protocol in order to proceed with your sampling.
- At the time of installation of the collector, remove the cap from your collector and install it on its stake.
- At removal time, screw the cap back onto your collector and then pull it back in.
- Place your collector on a flat surface, away from any heat source, for a few hours.
- At bottling time, remove the cap, then pour the melted snow into the Collect’O bottle using the funnel provided.
- Be sure to screw the cap on your bottle with all your might (very important to avoid evaporation!), then store it in the shade at room temperature.
- Rinse your collector and funnel and let them dry for the next collection.

Deposit of samples
At UQAM (métro Place-des-Arts)
Il esIt is once again possible for non-UQAM participants to enter the building. Please bring back all your collected samples as soon as you can.
Bottles are best deposited in the entrance lock of the Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Department (PK-6150, 6th floor next to the elevators). This entrance is accessible Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
